I’ve been a trailer music fan for the past twelve years or so, starting when trailer music was in its infancy as its own genre. Like most people, I also thought that the music we hear in the trailers was from the movie, but then I would later look for “that great music from the trailer” in the movie soundtrack and I couldn’t find it. After the Matrix trailers in the 90s, people started to notice the singular power of trailer music, and I was one of those people.
