So you probably stopped by the site because there was a link you were looking for, or perhaps you had a form you needed, right? Well, this website can offer you so much more! Take some time to explore everything that makes up the M.D. COMPASS (College of Medicine Physician Advising & Support System) program and learn how we're offering you all the tools you need to navigate through your four years here at the College of Medicine.
M.D. COMPASS is the comprehensive, holistic advising program for the UCF College of Medicine. M.D. COMPASS includes advising, counseling and support in four major domains:
Academic Advising Component |
This area involves the use of faculty advisors (both academic and specialty) to assist students with their education and in navigating the curriculum. |
---|---|
Career Advising Component |
Career advising involves helping students choose their specialty and learn more about themselves to find a good specialty fit. This component involves everything that assists a student in being successful in the MATCH. |
Financial Advising Component |
This component allows students to learn about budgeting and debt management, and to find the resources they need to afford school and handle their financies. |
Personal Wellness Component |
Personal wellness involves those resources for a student's well being, both mental and physical. This involves not only the resources for counselors or health services, but also those activities that assist with a student's mental well being. |
The Office of Student Affairs implements the M.D. COMPASS program in collaboration with Faculty Advisors, Specialty Advisors, and a number of key support services in the College of Medicine and at UCF. Used in conjunction with the GPS (Good Place to Start) website, you will be provided with the tools you need to navigate through your medical education experience. So we invite you to click around and learn about what each component can offer you.
